Redwood Heights Improvement Association

The Redwood Heights Improvement Association, which was established in 1944, is one of the oldest voluntary neighborhood associations in Oakland. Straddling an old logging run now known as Redwood Road, Redwood Heights is a neighborhood of homes built from the mid '20s to the '50s. The first development was known as Avenue Terrace. Redwood Heights is also one of the oldest subdivisions in the city. Home styles vary from "storybook style" to colonial to '50s ranch modern. Gardens in Redwood Heights vary from formal to English country. Redwood Heights residents take pride in their homes and it shows.
